Start your journey from your local train station, with fares given on application, to join with the Orient Express day trips for your 5 course meal. Enjoy 4 hours of being waited on in silver service, as the British Pullman slowly makes it way through the English countryside whilst you enjoy your unique experience.

Complete your evening in Exeter by staying at The Southgate Hotel, which combines elegance with modern. Treat yourself to a night cap in the relaxing Lounge Bar before retiring for the night. Prices start from £50pp including a full English Breakfast.

BRITISH PULLMAN
Steeped in history, our British Pullman carriages were once the Bournemouth Belle, the Brighton Belle and the legendary Golden Arrow, whisking passengers to the majestic ocean going liners of the 1920s and 1930s.

Today each carriage has been restored to the former glory of its 1930s heyday. Veneered panels show off exquisite, exotic Art Deco marquetry; Art Noveau lamp glasses shed soft light on polished brass, bevelled glass and glowing mahogany fittings; deep velvet tapestry armchairs make for companiable, intimate dining. The British Pullman carriages cocoon guests in luxury on their way to Britain's historic cities and glittering events of the social and sporting calendar.

In 2007 some of the Newell's TRAVEL team including Roger and Helen Hawke, boarded the British Pullman to enjoy a 5 course lunch.
