I had joined Newell’s Travel in November 2021.
I have always wanted to work in travel but my career had taken me in the direction of health care. After thirty-eight years I decided to do the job I knew I would be passionate about.
During my career in health I became a registered manager and part of my role was customer service and dealing with the public. From my role, I have many transferable skills which I know would be beneficial in my new venture as a travel consultant
Countries visited:
Bermuda, Thailand, Canary Islands, Majorca, Turkey, Egypt, Greece, Mexico, Cuba, The Maldives, Portugal, Morocco, Jersey, Amsterdam Germany, Cape Verde, and Jamaica.
Favourite destination:
I have many destinations that I would consider to be my favourite, but the one that stood out to me the most is Cuba. The locals and music in Cuba are just amazing, and I felt like I was walking back in time during my visit there.
Also, daily life Cuba is generally laid back with its beautiful buildings, old-fashioned cars, and entertaining Cuban bands on every street corner – what else could you wish for?!
Last holiday:
My last holiday was a visit to Egypt. Egypt is a country that I love to go to anytime of the year. The weather is always lovely, the food is great, and the locals are really friendly.
Where next?
I’m planning to go back to Egypt for a top up of sunshine and good food. And my other next big venture will be a trip to Australia.

Always check you have your passport and insurance and a little bit of foreign currency for the country you are travelling to.
