I started my career in the travel industry in September 2009 as an apprentice for Thomas Cook. I completed my NVQ qualification in customer service/travel and ttourism before joining Newell’s Travel in April 2015. I work in the Truro branch alongside Beverley and Lacey. Australia, Sri Lanka, America, Trinidad and Tobago, Indonesia, Malaysia, Egypt, Turkey, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece, Netherlands and Bulgaria.
I love to cruise and have been lucky to visit ports around the Mediterranean and Northern Europe.
Favourite destination:
I was blown away by my trip to Sri Lanka. The local people were so kind and welcoming.
The beautiful scenery mixed with the historic culture was incredible. My favourite moment was watching the elephants roam free around the National Park.
Last holiday:
My last trip was back in December 2019 before the COVID-19 pandemic hit.
My husband and I went to Amsterdam for a long weekend with friends. We explored the Christmas markets and enjoyed the festive spirit.
Where next?
My daughter was born during the pandemic and so I would love to take her on our first family holiday.
Ideally, I would like to go somewhere like Greece, where the flight is shorter, we can still play on the beach and enjoy the delicious local cuisine.
Travel tip:
My tip would specifically be for cruising clients: pack any important medicine, swim wear and necessities in your hand luggage. This is because your suitcase gets delivered to your cabin later on in the afternoon/evening.
This way, you can start your holiday early, whilst someone else takes care of your luggage.
