Race Across the County

11 Branches. 1 Epic Adventure. All for a Great Cause.

On Sunday 7th September, our 11 travel agencies will close their shop doors and hit the road for the ultimate Cornish adventure — racing across the county in a thrilling, clue-filled challenge, all to raise funds for Penhaligon’s Friends, a local charity supporting bereaved children and families.

The Challenge

We curated Race Across the County inspired by the hit TV show Race Across the World, but this time, it’s all happening right here in beautiful Cornwall. Each team will set off from their own branch, armed with a limited fuel budget (no top-ups allowed), a sealed envelope of cryptic clues, and a route packed with surprise detours, quirky challenges, and hidden checkpoints scattered across Cornwall. They’ll need to think fast, work together, and navigate the County using only teamwork, brainpower, and a little local know-how, all while raising as much money as possible for a vital cause.

Will they take a scenic coast road or risk a shortcut through winding back lanes? One thing’s for sure, this won’t be your average Sunday drive.

Supporting Penhaligon’s Friends

At the heart of this challenge is a heartfelt mission, to raise funds and awareness for Penhaligon’s Friends, a small but mighty Cornish charity making a huge difference to families during their darkest times. They provide compassionate, life-changing support to children and young people coping with the death of a loved one, along with specialist training for the schools, carers, and professionals who support them.

Every penny we raise will go directly towards helping children find comfort, connection, and hope after loss.
