Thought you might like to know that my latest trip to Spain went absolutely perfect and smoothly at Bristol Airport. Upon arrival at Alicante, we had to show our papers and it was no trouble collecting luggage or catching the transfer, everyone was very helpful all the way. Hotel Kaltus was great and of course sun outside everyday, couldn’t have had a better time . Can’t wait to go back again and I will soon be 89 years old so if I can do it, you can do it."

Firstly, we had a wonderful week at The Grand Hotel on Gozo, staff were always available and all very helpful. Food was excellent and the rooftop BBQ, held 3 nights a week, was 4 courses of superb choices ( 30 euros each ). We took a day trip to Malta on the Fast Catamaran, only 8 euros return for us both. Public transport on Gozo is very cheap and buses run frequently so no problems getting about.
Secondly, advice for other travellers, although having eDocs is advised I would certainly take paper copies of all documents – proof of 2 Covid jabs, easyjet boarding passes, Malta health declaration form ( for entry only) AND your Passenger Locator Form (PLF). It’s far easier showing hard copies as opposed to electronic versions which don’t always work if there are no internet connections at airports. Arriving at Malta airport, there are at least 20 booths processing incoming passengers, so transit through the airport is very quick and efficient. The private transfer to the Gozo ferry and to the hotel worked well – but I’ll never complain about the state of Cornwall’s roads. There are 141 ongoing road works on Malta alone.
Getting a Covid lateral flow test 2 days before our return was simple. We found a local chemist in the village, 10 mins walk from the hotel that only charged 50 Euros each and done by a very friendly doctor who said Malta and Gozo only do nasal swabs not in the throat as well. They provided a hard copy of the result and a confirmatory email was also sent.
Leaving Malta airport was, again, very easy with paper copies of all documentation needed – PLF, copy of negative Covid test, boarding pass etc. Back at Bristo, l it was just to show your passport and off you go!
All in all a really great time was had just relaxing in the sun."

When covid hit in early 2020 and prevented our plans from happening they helped us reorganise dates and schedules to a time when overseas travel was becoming a possibility again. When international travel was cancelled by Boris we were disappointed that we wouldn’t be able to go on holiday but understood why.
Having heard so many stories about people having had tremendous difficulties getting refunds this was our next concern.
We shouldn’t have worried. The team at Newell’s Liskeard have been exceptional all the way through from us first suspecting we may not be able to go on holiday until the money was back in our account. It has truly been a worry free process and throughout we have always felt fully informed and supported.

If you ever thought it was easier and more cost effective to do all the holiday booking yourself think again. Using the travel agents still allowed us to create a holiday package to suit our taste and purse but all the stress was taken away from us, as Newell’s did all the hard work seeking out availability, the best prices and all the booking!
This proved invaluable when we were away as the coronavirus crisis took hold, causing chaos to the travel industry. Although there was still uncertainty, Newell’s took away all the stress, by working away on our behalf rearranging our flights, hotels and transfers, whilst we continued to relax back and make the most of our trip.
Our plans were altered almost every day, but we knew we were in safe hands. We also had the added reassurance that by booking our holiday this way, we were ensured a refund for the aspects of our trip which had to be cancelled due to the ever-changing and exceptional situation.

Firstly for helping my husband to sort out a surprise trip to Iceland with whale watching and seeing the Northern Lights for my birthday. Sadly it all went terribly wrong due to a storm (90m/h winds and blizzard conditions) just as we were trying to land at Keflavik airport, which resulted in a diversion to Glasgow to re-fuel the plane and an immediate return to Bristol airport where we were told there were no available flights for another week.
